What is it about music?

I see on here and in real life that many (maybe most) people are almost addicted to music, and while I have some favorites, I listen to music maybe a couple of times a month. Even then it's only in the car.

So, for you that can't live without music, what's the deal?

Music makes me relax. It makes me forget some of my problems, always makes me happy. It's just a part of me. I grew up listening to many types of music that now I couldn't describe. Every mood I have there's a type that relates to it.
