What is it about music?

I see on here and in real life that many (maybe most) people are almost addicted to music, and while I have some favorites, I listen to music maybe a couple of times a month. Even then it's only in the car.

So, for you that can't live without music, what's the deal?

Music is prolly one of humankinds greatest creations.
Its a universal expression that crosses cultures, religions and language barriers.
And it reaches into your soul.

I also think its used to stop thinking , to shut your mind up.
Close off unwanted thoughts .

Music is so emotive, theres barely a situation that there ISNT music for .

But then..... i also believe in balance. Sometimes a little silence is nice too.

It is indeed.. there have been millions of songs and Melodie’s through time in different languages and cultures that were written only with 7 notes ….
