Yes, their debut albums were all garbage. I'm just glad they never got written off on the strength of those!
Which artists do you think had terrible debut albums?

As hard as I tried to dislike Prince for no good reason the guy can write music and he is a musician. I don't know the next two but grew up with Neil Young on the radio. His first albums were with Buffalo Springfield and they were pretty good or had a couple of songs most famous being "For What It's Worth".a timely song with all the priests going on about the war and civil rights etc. Then it was him, Stills, Crosby and Nash with more protests songs then his Harvest solo album. Plus his crazy horse band album. I'm going with young to be number one on this case

@kentex35 As for Neil Young, I am talking about his solo debut album "Everyone knows this is nowhere"

@Wol62 that was done with his garage band he called "Crazy Horse". Harvest was a solo album with songs like "Old man", "the needle and the damage done".
Another album that has sugar mountain on it. Was it solo?
