People hate on Kanye a lot & he's a wild card for sure

But on this song I just hear a father venting about how it feels to lose his kids through a divorce.

I can't stop listening to it I wish it was longer

Just the simple "Daddy's not gone, you see the light on. Daddy's at home." Is some heartfelt shit fr 🥺
I wanna be a dad but I can't imagine not having my kids.

after having my kid taken from me years back, I avoid listening to stuff like this. Knowing how painful that is, I try and avoid it.
I have no issue with Kanye. Not a fan of his music or his taste in women but whatever haha

I'm sorry man 🙏 that's the only pain I can imagine truly breaking me

@ChiefJustWalks thanks mate. Worst pain I have ever experienced in my life and during it all I heard so many stories from so many others who were experiencing the same thing. I dont think people realize how many have their kids taken from them and would not believe the reasons for it. Its crazy

@Torsten I have close friends who have had their kids taken from them & aren't allowed to see them over petty things like "mom has a new boyfriend" or "she's mad at dad for something he said". All I know about that pain is those friends are some of the toughest people I know, & that is the only time I've seen them shed tears & hug me because they needed to.
I haven't been there myself but I feel a lot of empathy for it

@ChiefJustWalks shit man, sorry to hear about your friends. Hopefully that changes for them and their kids. Those reasons you mentioned I have heard before also.
I had a best mate years back and his kid was taken from him and he committed suicide over it. That was years before I even had a kid but remember thinking all sorts of things and hating him for doing that especially to his daughter who was not even one years old at the time but after feeling what I imagine he felt. he get why he did it now. the pain is unbearable

@Torsten I'm sorry to hear about your friend as well. When I was younger I looked at suicide as a selfish thing too & couldn't understand it but I do now. I didn't have my mom growing up & she wasn't allowed to see us because of her choices. She tried to kill herself the day she was told she'd never see us again. She shot herself & she survived. But I'm part of her life now so I'm lucky. I wish your friends daughter got that chance as well. That stuff breaks my heart

@ChiefJustWalks damn I again am sorry to hear that. ITs tough losing your child but cant imagine how tough it is for the children also. Is your mom okay now? I am glad youre apart of her life now though

@Torsten well thanks for asking man. My mom's okay now I suppose. She's still dealing with a lot & lost most of her family for it but that's why I don't turn my back on her. I'm always there
