Post a song that means something to you.

This is Barenaked Ladies's "Helicopters". Many of you may not know that their songs aren't all light and jokey. Their songwriting is as strong as anyone's. This one is downright chilling, and hauntingly timely considering the Ukraine situation. It's about how the band felt hypocritical visiting war-torn countries only to be whisked back in a hot second. I have a terrible fear of abandonment, and my brain latched onto the refrain "I'll be...leaving soon" as a warning from my loved ones, friends, lovers, and even pets as they prepare to exit my life. Can't listen to this one without 😢.

@PatKirby I'd lose my mind if I had to change strings on that. Part bass, part guitar, part autoharp, wow!

I'm sure he's had to go through that and re-tune it before, but what a reward! I like how you can support the mid strings with the harp strings bringing up the bass with beautiful resonance. Plus the highlights accented by the higher octave string set at bottom. A fine instrument no doubt!
