They are a band apart,much like Bauhaus,not in style,but in uniqueness.Evening sis.

They’re the godfathers of emo - without them, it wouldn’t have happened the same way. (Of course, there’s still The Cure and Depeche Mode).

Joy Division especially with Ian was very real. They have been called the “godfather of Goth”.
