Wether other people find my taste good, you’d have to ask them. I listen to a ton of music and am a musician myself, so I like to think I have a discerning ear, but musical taste is so hugely subjective that it can vary from person to person. For example, I tend to favor lyrics a lot even with music that is maybe considered less instrumentally great to some. And is why I like bands and artists such as Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and The Cure which some argue are pretentious and over hyped but I find to be like liquid poetry.

@DarkHeaven Jim Morrison is considered by some to be more of a poet, than a singer.
@chrisCA While Morrison was an incredible poet, the Doors were incredible groundbreaking musicians for the time and no one really calls them overhyped like Bob Dylan, the Beatles, of the Cure. Even Dylan himself said other people often did more with his songs then he could but he still wrote it and they are beautiful songs. And no one would say that George Harrison was the greatest musician ever but My Guitar Gently Weeps had all the makings of a great song and after being reworked with Eric Clapton is one of my all time favorite songs. It’s just kind of different with them.

@DarkHeaven I do like Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower much better.
@chrisCA A true performance musician can also bring something completely new and make a great written song shine brilliantly. And thats why people may give Miley shit, but she’s also brilliant.
