@helenS I guess it's Alban Berg's. LOL Saw it on PBS from the Metropolitan, mostly because of it's links to Louise Brooks and the film PANDORA'S BOX. Musically I'm probably more into Wagner.

@ChipmunkErnie Tell me about the Wagner works you like and why! I love Wagner, too - I just started the Ring Cycle this last month :)

@ChipmunkErnie I see the New Vienna School as a consequence of developments which old Richie had initiated. No Tristan ==> no Wozzek.

@InvictusIndigo I've never watched the whole cycle, just bits and pieces when I'm in the mood. Have the whole thing on DVD, one of the Bayreuth Festivals. I just like the drama of the music. When it comes to Classical music I do tend toward the Romantics and the Russians.

@helenS LOL You lost me. I never studied the music, just listen to what I like. I've often gone through iTunes store sampling Classical composers, found a piece that intrigued me and bought everything I could find by that composer. Never really looked into them, just enjoyed the music.

@helenS That disturbing, eh? LOL That was only one wall of the library, there are three more walls worth of books, and more just arrived.

My library is much bigger. It's our public library.

@helenS But ours is closer. And probably has a lot of books you won't find in your library. ;)
