"The Wall" of Pink Floyd. I was only 7 years old but I loved the song "Another brick in the wall" so I sacrificed my pocket money to buy their album. I was so proud when I did it and walked all the way home with a big smile on my face holding the album like a treasure in my arms. :) ;)

@RobinPhoenix Awww that is sweet. That's how I was with my Paul Young single hehe... felt so proud 🤗
@Carmen74 How old have you been when you bought Paul Youngs single?

Thanks for BA ☺️

Yw :) I think about 10 years old:) I had records of course (Abba and Thriller etc) but this was the first one I went and chose myself :)
@Carmen74 Your taste in music was pretty similar to mine (Y) Do you still have those records? I still have a record I mixed at the age of 7 and it's an interesting witness of my taste of music at that time :) because you can listen to children's songs but also songs by Abba and Pink Floyd and other hits that were popular at that time. And my favorite song (another brick in the wall) I recorded 4 times on this record ;)

@RobinPhoenix Aww that is nice. I can remember recording "radio shows" on my tape recorder lol...mainly forcing my little brother to be interviewed 🤣 I don't know where the tapes went, would be funny to hear now. I feel sorry for my poor brother I was quite bossy and also made him watch me play piano and do dance shows with me for the family 🤣 I think I lost all my records during house moves, being stored in garages etc...not sure exactly but I do not have them anymore.
@Carmen74 Those are funny memories...at least for you ;) not sure how your brother feels about it, but older siblings are not always a blessing ;)

Too bad you don't have those records anymore, but I know that all too well. I moved so many times in my life that my possessions fit into three suitcases before I finally settled down ;) There was no room for representational memories... and the most precious memories we carry in our hearts anyway, not in our hands. :)

@RobinPhoenix He quite scarred by it all I think haha...one time not so long ago...for a joke... I played a song that I had made him do a dance show to when we were little and he remembered immediately 🤣 Yes you are so right about material things! 🤗
@Carmen74 I so feel with and for your brother. I didn't have an older sister who forced me to do something like that, but I had 3 female cousins, our parents were very close so I saw them several times a year and ... it was no fun at all ;) . Today we can laugh about it, back then the time with them was just terrible ;)

:) 🤗

@RobinPhoenix Hehehe yeah, I feel quite bad now. Also I had a sewing machine and would make him TERRIBLE clothes...and make him wear them too 😱😬
@Carmen74 OMG... That must have really traumatized him 😳😳 ;) poor guy. How many years younger is your brother?
Carmen74 · 46-50, F
@RobinPhoenix Hehehe 3 years younger. Yes I would make strange Frankenstein trousers with one enormous leg and one very tight leg 🤣 Poor kid
@Carmen74 He must have hate you in such moments ;) . I am sure he is still getting a bad feeling today when he sees some kind of fabric in your hand or you sitting behind a sewing machine.... that must give him some real bad nightmares ;) ;)
