@JLBHood I have to agree with the idea that some people look for things to find objectionable. Where is the connection between a flirtatious French moufette in a child’s cartoon and women ? Or maybe I just haven’t seen it in awhile.

@JLBHood Here’s the way I view that: If someone did or said something foolish as a young person, but learned better and spent their subsequent days living as a better person, that shouldn’t come back to bite them. But if a public figure expressed controversial ideas while young that they obviously still hold, I want to know that. And what is called “cancel culture” is basically what has always been so: The First Amendment protects you from prison or government retaliation (and even that’s been questionable). Free speech has never been “consequence-free” speech.
