Do you still have and use a record player ? Not the plastic new ones now available but the ones from the early 80's ?

@wildbill83 I missed out on the 8-track thing. I can remember when they were commonly used in car audio (about 1974), and the players were cheaper than the compact cassette variety. The problem was they used tape cartridges that weren't used for much else. I have only ever seen a couple of home cartridge players. And I've never seen an 8-track recorder, or blank tapes.

@supersnipe they were in cars up till the early to mid 80's or so
