Why are curse words from songs not allowed on the radio?

I understand that it may be because of the children, but if that's the case then play music on a different station?

It's the law. TV stations and radio can be fined if they allow certain curse words to be said on air.

@BlackBloodDemon what is interesting is that you are 18-21 and have no idea about this.

@JaggedLittlePill The whole industry went apeshit after Janet Jackson's titty.

@JaggedLittlePill I grew up in a very austere, pious household. The only music that played on the radio was christian music. Now that I am driving on my own and listening to my own music on the radio, I have noticed some songs that have curse words have been censored out.
