@dunpender Not a very self-aware one and definitely a critique from incredulity. It's just a ridiculous argument on so many levels. Just because something is more difficult to do, does not make it objectively better by any standard. Just because you don't understand what is happening within the song or don't personally like it, does not mean that it doesn't take skill or talent to perform. Every previous generation says this about the newer generation's music. The Beatles, Elvis, and pretty much every groundbreaking band to ever come out has been criticized by their previous generations. A lot of it I think just comes from appealing to their own sense of nostalgia and then authoritatively trying to control other people's tastes.
@dunpender Well it certainly fits all of the criteria for being called music and I honestly don't give shit what you listen to or your gatekeeping musical elitist bullshit. The guys from DragonForce and their technical complexity would melt the face off those simplistic swing artists. Is this list supposed to impress me or convince me of your musical authority? I'm not going to argue this point anymore because it's just as stupid as arguing with somebody else over what my favorite movie is. I don't like Harry Potter so to me it's just not a REAL movie.

I know they are hardly considered metal, more like hard rock from the 80s... something about Guns N Roses, especially early material take me
@SW-User Yeah they were pretty good. They were the best of the hairbands in my opinion. Were they considered a hair band? I don't know. Good music is timeless and they just made good music period.
