MartiniTime · 56-60, M
Are you kidding? AC/DC!

SW-User
AC/DC up until the point that it became Axl/DC. G’n’R made one great record and then a few mediocre records over the course of their 4-year implosion. Had that one record not been such a standout, they would have faded into obscurity. They’ve really been coasting on that one record for over 30 years now. Meanwhile, AC/DC managed a sustained career over multiple decades in spite of tragically losing their lead singer at the absolute worst time. In my book, it’s not even a contest between AC/DC and what is essentially a one hit wonder.
SW-User
@SW-User Just listened to acoustic November Rain. Fantastic! Thank you... will check out the other vid too. 👌🏻
SW-User
When I saw that November Rain was going to be on the new album(s), I couldn’t wait, because I was expecting something like that. What I loved about Appetite and even Lies was the rawness and grit, which we just weren’t getting from other bands in the late 80’s. When Illusion came out so polished, I was just very disappointed in it, because I wanted grease and grime instead of lavish production quality, which could be found virtually everywhere else in the late 80’s and early 90’s. @SW-User
SW-User
@SW-User Yeah by the time Illusion came out they were major stars. maybe that's why. :/

SW-User
If we're picking 5 songs I'd go with GNR, but if we're talking overall catalog of the band I'm going with AC/DC.
Still4him · 41-45, F
@SW-User yes this part!
SW-User
@SW-User 👌🏻
walabby · 61-69, M
I'll be patriotic and go with Acca Dacca... :)

The Gunners were awesome, but not for as long...
SW-User
@walabby Yup Acca Dacca has been around longer. 😏
Indy74 · 46-50, F
Guns n roses anyday!!😀 I still like a.c.\dc too.
SW-User
@Indy74 yeah it's hard to choose. hehe
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@SW-User definitely!🙂
AC/DC, but Guns isn't bad, just not as good.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@PrivateHell I agree
I am from Oklahoma originally, and the Thunder Basketball team uses "Thunderstruck" as their theme. Awesome song.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
AC/DC, preferably with Bon Scott singing.
SW-User
realrare · 51-55, F
Barry Manilow!
@realrare I thought Richard Simmons was your favorite? That album, Richard Simmons does Manilow you said was hot! I didn't know he did him! 😲
realrare · 51-55, F
@Itsmrsockmonkey He did the oldies too! Richard Simmons gets around! ;)
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M

Highway To Hell 🤘
SW-User
@GBPackersFan Thunderstruck!
absomething · 31-35, F
No comparison at all---- AC/DC!!!!!!
ToyMan · 56-60, M
I like both their stuff. But I'd probably lean more to AC/CD just because I know more of their songs.

Here's a tribute band I've seen locally a couple times. Lots of fun! http://www.electricshockband.com/
SW-User
@ToyMan Yeah some of those cover bands are amazing!!
ToyMan · 56-60, M
@SW-User They really are. There's another I've seen a few times as well that does Eagles music. I really like that one as well. 👍
SW-User
@ToyMan Defo!
Love both but gotta go with AC DC.
Spumoni · 46-50, M
AC/DC Highway to Hell, DT.
romper69 · 51-55, M
AC/DC all day long
AndrewG · 22-25, M
AC/DC hands down
SW-User
@SheikYerbouti Thunderstruck!
gotta go AC/DC
SW-User
I've seen both bands in concert twice, and it's a tough call. I would have to say G'n'R, they're far more talented.
SW-User
@SW-User they would be great to see in concert lucky you.
SW-User
@SW-User What I really love to see in concert, is bands covering other bands, and you don't really get much of that with AC/DC. Personally, I feel that's one of the things that makes a concert special, and connects with the audience in a great way, especially when the audience also loves that particular song. Last time I saw G'n'R they did a great cover of Wish You Were Here, transitioned into Layla, November Rain, and then did a cover of Blackhole Sun in honor of Chris Cornell.

The other thing I love, is when the band performs an extended encore, with at least one obscure/deep cut from their discography, but I don't really see ACDC, or G'n'R having any deep cuts, maybe some of the early Bon Scott material. Both bands primarily play the hits; G'n'R mostly plays Appetite and Lies.
Damn can't I have both??? I'll take AC/DC..other thans 1987 that year is guns n roses xD
@SW-User I was driving around on the weekend "Shoot to thrill" came on the radio and I swear that song just makes your car go faster xD
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@MrBlueGuy That's because AC/DC didn't release a new album in 1987 and Guns 'n' Roses did.
SW-User
@MrBlueGuy crazy good driving music I know 😁🎼
Alfarrobas · 31-35, M
Noble · 56-60, M

SW-User
@ExperienceDLT Yup hard to choose
lonelylonelyer · 31-35, M
Guns n roses Ac/dc is over rated but they are ok
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
AC/DC all day, every day. GNR had what, one big album?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@SW-User Around since mid 70s vs a late 80s band that started strong and dropped like a stone. And I bought and enjoyed Chinese Democracy.
SW-User
@uncalled4 Yeah and I think AC/DC are still going strong.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@uncalled4 One big album? So an album that doesn't get to number one isn't a big album? Let's have a look at the chart performances of G 'n' R albums. "Appetite For Destruction" had 161 weeks in the charts, highest position 5. "Use Your Illusion I" was number 2 behind "Use Your Illusion II", both albums had 84-week chart runs. "The Spaghetti Incident" also reached number 2, although only 10 weeks in the charts. Only "G 'n' R Lies" failed to reach the top 5, and that stayed a healthy 41 weeks in the charts. All this is well-documented FACT and has nothing to do with personal opinion. G 'n' R weren't exactly one-hit wonders, were they?
Still4him · 41-45, F
That's tough...why choose? I love both
SW-User
AC/DC..... by far
