Who’s the best guitarist ever?

@nudistsueaz as I have said before, there is a point where many guitar players are "the best" and none of them can be said to be THE best amongst them. Certainly Santana is one of those, and I have also put him in my list and I totally respect if he is your favorite as at that level it comes down to personal preference in choosing between masters. To say that Stevie ray Vaughn is better than him is like saying that strawberry pie is better than apple pie because of a personal preference, its childish. Stevie ray Vaughn is fast and powerful but doesn't have the feeling of Santana and personally if I had to spend my life listening to one or the other I'd choose Santana, for the feeling. My ultimate favorite depends on how I feel that day, some days its jimi Hendrix, some days its jimmy Page, some days its mark Knopfler, sometimes Vaughn, sometimes Santana etc(see my list). But I would never say to someone who prefers one of them that they are wrong.
