I remember when just about every show was $20, and the t-shirts were always $20. I’d budget $40 per show, and pretty much all my money that didn’t go directly into my gas tank went for records, tickets, and t-shirts as a teenager. @GeorgeTBH

@SW-User I'm a Burnley fan. Our ex-manager Eddie Howe is doing great and I think Bournemouth are gonna have a great season. They might even finish above Man Utd.

@Burnley123 Eddie’s an amazing manager. Every year up until this one has been a relegation fight, but the Cherries might reach 40 points and relative safety with a couple of months to spare. A top 5 finish would be a dream season, but if Leicester can win it all, why not AFCB in a year or two? It’s been a blast to watch.

@Burnley123 I just loved new wave music, the beat. Once I liked a song from a band, I’d listen to all their early albums & B side songs. I did this with Duran Duran, DM, New Order, The Cure & Tears for Fears. I was 13-16 at the time. They also played a lot of these band’s songs at our high school dances, & I went to almost all of them.

@marsbar opening act, that’s the phrase I was looking for! Yes it was good fun, they were very friendly and welcoming to us, no airs and graces or big egos. They welcomed us into their dressing room, shared their food and drink with us and generally made us feel at home.

@CountScrofula It’s really hard to go wrong with the Manics, but I’d say The Holy Bible is the “start here” album. It’s their masterpiece.

@SW-User for most people I'd give Everything Must Go as the intro because its the best mainstream album but I agree Holy Bible is the fans choice.

They have done a lot of albums since the 90s and are still making them but its pretty patchy. The singles on This is My Truth tell me yours are good. Send Away the Tigers is the best late-era album IMO.

@SW-User They are named after a South African 'socccer' team of all things. kaiser Chiefs are Leeds United fans and Lucas Radebe was a South Africa player who was a star of their 90s good days. He started his career at Kaiser Chiefs in Johannesburg.
