Painted Black
@puck61 From 1966 Lp-"Aftermath". Great LP. Even better song. Brian plays the sitar in that so well.

@Elandra77 There is speculation that someone drown him.
@ProfessorPlum I was almost a teen when that happened. I remember it well. And all the controversy. Plus i have a library of Rolling Stones books (some long out of print) and some talk of that a lot. I am not so sure. mick had the band by that time. The one Brian started as a spinoff of an Alexis Korner band. But he had the leadership. And he had Keith and Charlie on his side of things. Brian was regulated to a third voice.

But the Rolling Stones showed Fleetwood Mac HOW to Fleet. meaning they had shared wives and girlfriends long before Lindsey and Stevie and all else. And I am not so sure a jealous woman did not have a play in his death.... But i do not believe Mick did.

@Elandra77 I don't think it was a member of the Stones that did it, from what I read. I think it was a friend of one of his girlfriends. According to the article, he was a woman beater. Someone got sick of it and either drown him or let him drown.
@ProfessorPlum Something like that. If he was drowned. A woman- or an associate of one may have been involved. It is possible he just did die- perhaps drug related. But it will be contested for a long time.
