I play, since childhood, and it brings me great joy!!!
@AngelaR80, that is so supportive of you. I am glad that your friend's friends were able to move it carefully and with millimeters to spare. Is it an "upright" piano or baby grand style (one being a bit of a "space saver" in the living room...)?
The important thing is that you supported your son. Hopefully he will play it. Lessons can be expensive, but its amazing the help available today on the internet to help one learn an instrument.
Would you be interested in learning as well?

@VeronicaJane yep any bigger no way would it have been coming on here 😂😂
Piano's are fun to play. Easy to learn since you have all the octaves right there. Ignore the black keys for the moment, they are all the sharps and flats, try the easy training exercises with whole notes. A world of fun awaits.
They sure are heavy instruments. We see them for free on Marketplace all the time.

I would love to carry on learning. I had lessons as a kid but messed around a lot and eventually gave up.

When I was young my grandma had a piano which was rarely if ever used. When she was moving they couldn't find anyone who wanted it so it was broken up. Such a waste.
