Love playing the drums

Very nice kit!! I have a 7-piece acoustic drum kit and a 5-piece Roland electronic set. I couldn't fit your kit in the little space I am allowed to have. My wife made sure of that..lol Oh well...

I take it from all those microphones that you also record at home.

Am I right that the cymbal in the middle has large holes in it? If so how, does that affect the timbre?

I'm used to seeing dampers on the fronts of bass drums, or that head removed, to deaden the sound from 'boom' to 'thump', but what is the unit on the left-hand (or right foot!) drum?
