No place for this on any existing music posts, so here it will play.
Whilst living in Fremantle from 1992 till 1996 I was dancing to the very Tribal beat of the Sundiata Marimba Band.
The Marimba is a percussion instrument consisting of a set of wooden bars struck with rubber mallets to produce musical tones. Resonators or pipes suspended underneath the bars amplify their sound.
Marimbas originated in Ghana where it is called, Gyil. Also common in Mali, called Balafon.
Sundiata's Marimbas had Bamboo resonators.
A person who plays the marimba is called a marimbist or a marimba player.

The Sundiata Marimba band played every Sunday evening in the South Beach Hotel, South Fremantle.
It was impossible to keep your body from moving to the beat of the Marimbas.

Only those who play for their love of music...rest are just seeking attention with their instruments. Don't like the latter.
