@MrGomco intense, atmospheric, gritty. Released in Japan in 1973 by Toho studios. T. Wakayama's performance as Shogun executioner Itto Ogami made Sword of Vengence an instant Samurai classic. There were six films in the series.

@MrGomco o that is a different film. The SOV is Japanese, 1973, it's sometimes called the Lone wolf and cub series.
