In July, Trump said the existing structure would not be touched. Now the whole East Wing has been demolished before any plans have even been removed, historic trees have been cut down, and another garden has been destroyed.

So why should anyone believe taxpayers won't eventually be paying for some portion fo this COMPLETELY UNNEEDED ballroom that is nothing more than a VANITY PROJECT for the serial liar?
After all, SW MAGAts go around parroting the lie that taxpayers didn't pay for Trump's birthday parade (the actual facts are that taxpayers indeed paid for the majority of the cost). And that $45 million in no way benefited, for example, VA patients. It was a fine example of Trump's priorities that are useless to anyone.
We no for certain he wont' be paying for all future functions held in the new structure, which ostensibly will now cost up to 5 times more than current costs, since the new structure will hold 5 times as many people. The average state dinner in the 200 person facility already costs $500k to $1 million.
The demolition pics are the perfect metaphor for the current state of the US under MAGA. MAGA is a wrecking ball to the US.
