Why is it that when people get success in one field they think it gives them power to do something different only expressing their somewhat extreme viewpoint with nothing to support it whatsoever ?

I know if you're planning a book it's a good way to get yourself seen and heard prior to release especially if you can't drum up media interest otherwise, but this guy doesn't know when to shut up
