I love this video so much, also a personal story and thoughts on masculinity and femininity
It's a really thoughtful video about masculinity. More so the destructive and self destructive expression of people who want to be loved but have too much anger and sadness and are stuck in themselves and their lives, who also lack a means of expressing it in a positive way. Men being boys to avoid the reality of their pain. You have to watch it to the very end for it to hit home.

This brings back memories for me, doing drugs, seeking adrenaline, punching walls and breaking doors because I was sad. I think we really need women to look after us if I'm being honest, we're like big boys and we need that emotional support and care. I'm pretty adept at looking out for myself in that way, but more so because I've had to, and I've nearly died from my own emotional isolation and lack of coping skills in the past.
Being male can be hard in some ways, some of us are lucky enough to have developed close friendships and support networks, others not so much. I think we act out when we're not happy, either at ourselves or the world. I've spent most of my life focusing on caring for women because of my childhood traumas and my experience of having to be a protector to my mother, but I think it's time to really start caring about men in the same way. It's good to at least be aware of why some people act out the way they do.
