We had one when I was a kid, briefly, we sent it back because it created too many chips that couldn't be sanded out, risking cuts to the lips and mouth. This is why it was a massive failure on the market. If I remember right, I think the federal government issued a safety recall after a year or so.

@NativePortlander1970 I don’t know what happened but, honestly I am not surprised it flopped.
@Yourguyinthecity My Dad was an ER trauma nurse in the 70's, he saw a lot of cut lips that required stitches because people are stupid, they didn't read the instructions to sand the bottles after being cut, and even then most of the time not even that helped.
