Does anyone like deal or no deal? Why did they bring it back?

I find this show to be one of the lamest and most bizarre. Ok you have a box you've picked out, but they go around hugging and saying I had a feeling you had a blue or a red. And the person then says something like I'm wishing you all the luck cos you truly deserve it.

Wtf!
Am I missing something?

I can’t stand it. The contestants know nothing about each other beforehand, so their platitudes are meaningless, and then the presenters always say inane and completely brain dead things like “I understand your strategy here..” What strategy?? There is none! It is PURE luck.

I make a conscious effort to turn of the channel when it starts.

Only one reason for reviving a show like that: it's cheap to make and there are enough people prepared to watch it still so as to to be able to sell advertising space.
