Did anyone watch "The Wild, Wild West" ? As a child or even now on streaming services like PlutoTV ?

And to clarify, I’m referring to the 60’s tv show, not that abominable later movie.

What did you think of the show ? Did you have a favorite episode ?

I loved that show. But you and I have already talked about this! 😄

One thing that occurred to me about detective/ secret agent shows from that era, is that there were three kinds of episodes that appeared on most of them. I am not sure if all three occurred on WWW, but:

a) The hero suffers a blow to the head and goes blind. By the end of the episode, he has become such an expert at navigating the world as a blind man that he thwarts the bad guy by turning off the lights in order to gain an advantage in the fight. And then, after the final commercial, we see him in the doctor's office with his sight returning.

b) The hero suffers a blow to the head and develops amnesia. He blunders along, until the end of the episode when he sees a loved one in danger, and the shock brings back his memory and he springs into action. (I do recall the shout "Artie!")

c)The hero is under suspicion of committing the crime. But he is such an individualist (plus he has the responsibility of turning out an interesting episode on a TV show) that rather than cooperate with the authorities, he tracks down the bad guys while the police are tracking down him, with an exciting and confusing climax as all three parties converge on the same spot. (I don't think that one happened on WWW.)

I remember another one that happened on both WWW and The Man from Uncle: the bad guy uses plastic surgery to create an exact double of the hero. Naturally, the bad guy's girlfriend falls in love with the real hero, and when the two look-alikes are together at the end and the bad guy want to kill one of them, he tells his girlfriend to kiss them both , as she can tell them apart that way. The hero whispers to her "tell the truth". She does, and of course the bad guy assumes she is lying and shoots the double.

Sorry for reducing script-writing to an algorithm! 😄
@DrWatson Yes ! I remember every one of those episodes ! 😃
