60 Years Ago Today

Hard to believe that, 60 years ago today, 'Dr Who' came to that little screen in the corner of your room. The thrills, the spills, the tech talk, the monsters, the Darleks, the Cybermen, the Weeping Angels, the riddles, the cliffhangers...

Phew!

I've watched 'Dr Who' since I was too small to know what it was, It's had me scared, it's had me laughing, it's had me smiling, it's hand me punching the air.

Yeah, so what? I've a geek that loves the WHOniverse...

Thank you BBC, for continuing with this show and pooling such fantastic talent, be that it sound, in visuals, the actors and actresses, the storylines!

You R-O-C-K !

I was six when it started....it was the Daleks that made the show.
When they started filming it in Cardiff a friend of mine was in a meeting with his boss who was decidedly distracted....by Daleks moving down the street!

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Oh, fantastic! I must admit that, although I am young (still in my teens), one of my favourite Dr's has always been Tom Baker. I ADORE K9, let's just say that I made a K9 in LEGO, when I was very young, and it was my proudest moment,

@Abstraction we used to go around with outstretched arms shouting'exterminate'.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales We did too. I think whoever invented daleks had been on a battlefield when tanks were coming. They have a similar mobility and the slow turning of the turret.
