Making a Murderer

I finished Making a Murderer yesterday, both seasons, and I'm just… appalled and heartbroken over this story. I just cannot comprehend a world that allowed this to happen. I’m curious if others here have watched it and what your opinions are on it.

Have you read the book "Programmed to Kill: Politics of Serial Murder" ?

@Wtjvpovdwfhc345355 Yes actually! It's quite a fascinating read. I like how it is not just your typical true crime book. It goes beyond the gruesome details of individual cases and dives into the societal, cultural, and political influences that contribute to the phenomenon of serial murder. It challenges us to consider the interplay between individual psychology and external factors.

@SwiftieShutterbug That's so cool!! I read that same book too. Have you read some of his other books?

@Wtjvpovdwfhc345355 It's rare to come across individuals who look beyond the surface and seek to understand the underlying causes. The other one I read was Understanding the F-Word.

@SwiftieShutterbug I actually haven't read that one but I did read Weird Scenes in Laurel Canyon. That one was really good and it's connected to programmed to kill.

@Wtjvpovdwfhc345355 That sounds really interesting from looking it up! I think you'd enjoy Understanding the F-Word too
