how did hank not know???

i’m watching breaking bad right now and is it just me who thinks hank was an idiot for not realising sooner than Walter is Heisenberg? it was so obvious.
1. his connection to jesse pinkman, while jesse was a suspect
2. the gas masks found at crime scene went missing from walters lab
3. the way he interrupted hank to block his view of the fake Heisenberg when badger got the wrong bench
4. the w.w in Gales lab notes
5. the fact walt was a chemist
like be so for real

I have been binge-watching Breaking Bad this last week. I have been meaning to watch it for a while. I didn't realise what a fantastic show it is.

All of those things look obvious in hindsight but Walter would not have been someone Hank would suspect. He also wouldn't have wanted to believe it because Walt was family. But, if you think about it, it didn't really take all that long for Hank to figure it out. All of the events happened over the course of a year in universe.

@hollyyoung There were a lot of seasons and I think the show was filmed over four years or so. But in universe, it was supposed to have taken place over the course of a year.

Hank knew when he found that book in Walter's bathroom. He just shut it out because he didn't want to believe it. The fallout would be too great.
