I’ll never be able to look at Mexico and South America the same way again

Shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and Narcos have ruined both for me. All I think of Mexicans now when I see them are drug dealing, double crossing, extortionists who either deal drugs or grow tortilla wheat. I would’ve loved to visit Mexico, especially Cancun, but I just don’t feel like going there anymore

if you listen to the news in spanish they are always obsessed with two things "inmigracion" and "chapo guzman". Narcos are like their role models over there. Their other dream is to come to the US "to work". To become lawyers, doctors, etc? No. The idea of studying in school to become a professional is a totally alien concept to them. I am half latino myself. I would know.
