I have a love-hate relationship with the Klingons.
As some of their ideology is not unlike the warrior civilizations of today but I've come to like individual characters. There was this one touching episode on Star Trek Voyager where B'Elanna Torres (half-Klingon,) got held captive by a species who managed to extract both her human self and her warrior self where they had to work together in order to get out alive. Her vulnerable warrior self was fierce and her human side was compassionate. You learned a lot about Klingon ideology other than their brute philosophy with both of them individually like that, it was a good episode. You kind of see the vulnerable side of them both, I thought it was a nice touch.
