Question about Beth, Dog the bounty hunters wife [I Love TV Shows]

So I know Beth passed away, I'm watching the show and started thinking about something. Well I started thinking, would she still be alive if she weighed less?

Then i started thinking, for someone who is overweight say 300lbs. Vs. someone who is 180lbs. I've heard in the past that being overweight puts a lot of strain on the heart. How much of being overweight leads to the cause of death?

She had throat cancer.

@LucyFuhr I didn't follow her day to day life, and I only remember reading the headline about her passing. I was not aware she passed away from throat cancer.

However, I'm sure obesity can lead to other health complications.

Studies have shown that obesity is linked to more chronic conditions than drinking, smoking or poverty. I believe she had cancer but, unless I'm mistaken, I believe obesity makes people more susceptible to some forms of cancer. NO idea if that was at play in her case.

@Ynotisay that's what I'm wondering. Was her being overweight lead to other health complications, such as the cancer?

@twiigss Could be. The science is there to support it. Just not sure about her specific case.

A lot, i mean think about how many old overweight (over 300lbs) people you see, not many... all my aunts that were overweight like that died before 55y/o

@Tminus6453 John Candy passed away when he was 42 or 43 and he was overweight.
