would there have been sharks during the sinking of the titanic in the Atlantic ocean?

my suspicion is that there wouldn't be many sharks in the north Atlantic around that time of year. google searches seem to point that way.

No. Certainly not the large species that will attack humans, as those live in warmer waters..
