Muppet muppet muppets

Everyone well knows that Muppets Christmas Carol is one of the best films ever, never mind 'best Christmas films', and actually also one of the best adapdations of literature. But with Tim Curry passing away recently, it's made me watch Muppet Treasure Island for I think the first time. I actually read and loved it after watching the animation version Treasure Planet 🤣 so I am looking forward to this.

I am literally just 5 minutes in but it already seems as good quality as Christmas Carol was. Obviously Christmas has the yearly advantage for why it stayed so popular but this one hasn't 🤔

When we first saw that movie, my sister talked about how hilarious it was that they had Long John talk down a lynch mob by ripping into them for giving him the Black Spot on a page from the Bible, and she didn't believe me when I said that was taken straight from the book.

I'm pretty sure she's read the book by now, but she still doesn't believe me; in fairness, it's a perfectly Muppet thing to do.

I am watching this like those films with a surprisingly stacked cast, where every so often a new character turns up and it's an actor you know. Only they're muppets and the film I recognise them from is Muppets Christmas Carol 🤣

It's a bit intense so far 😅

They don't sugar coat it, for being a 'kids' film. But then MCC would provably have been scary if I was younger too.
