Shiny Little Faces

Shiny little faces
Filled with curiosity
Smiles so wide
They’re hard to hide
And everyone can see

Running, jumping, playing hard
With oh so little cares
I love when they come around
And I look forward to future years

Today we’ll head out to the pool
And enjoy the rays of sunshine
We’ll swim and splash
But first a bath
To clean off all the grime

I often wonder how you got so dirty
Just playing around the house
And where that circle of dirt came from
That’s ringed around your mouths

But we’ll clean you up and get you fed
Then we’ll have a day
Splashing and swimming in the pool
And finding games to play.
