Peace is Just a Concept

I’ve had people say they love me
I’ve had people say they care
But when I look around my world
There’s truly no one there

70% of life I spend alone
Another 25% at work
And when I type these rhymes of mine
People tell me I’m a jerk

But I’ve gone past all the caring
As I read another book
I spend my time just staring inward
Just to take another look

And mostly I just blame myself
For all these things I feel gone wrong
I open up my YouTube
And just play another song

And though I have much love inside
For those that I adore
I refuse to spend time knocking
On all of these unopened doors

So here I go again my friend
Sliding down from that false high
Wondering where it all shall end
And when I’ll finally die?
