I've washed my hands with 4 different soaps and they still smell of raw fish

Time to follow my father's steps and try the nuclear option? 😬

Stainless steel might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to foul odor removal, but it’s actually a highly effective method. As mentioned previously, the cause of the foul odor in fish is the trimethylamine oxide breaking down into ammonia compounds. Stainless steel binds to these ammonia molecules – neutralizing them and removing the fishy smell. This binding ability is also what causes stainless steel to resist corrosion.

To remove the smell, simply rub both hands for several seconds on a stainless steel sink, faucet or appliance. Then wash your hands with soap and water as you normally would.

@Elessar. Thank you for best comment 👍🙂 Whenever I get fishy hands especially from cleaning the pot we occasionally have crab legs in, I always rub my hands on our stainless steel faucet or a bar of stainless steel. Voila - no stink 👍🙂

@tfan123 I'll try this, I've lost hope with everything else and even the degreaser aside from ruining my skin leaves a horrible smell (bleach)
