whenever people claim "the Simpsons predicted the future" it's always been one of two things.
1. the thing they "predicted" happened before the show decided to parody it.
2. the situation that was "predicted" was actually just taken out of context. and usually is an entirely different situation.
a few years ago the whole thing was popular on Instagram. people would take clips out of context or show a scene and claim it predicted the future. without anyone doing research for themselves.
