Oh my gosh, I’m listening to a podcast about gangsters on BBC

It’s so scary, I can’t believe that stuff happens!!! I’m actually scared to go into cities/big towns after hearing this stuff.
I need to just listen to my Taylor Swift albums and stay away from this stuff. 😳😬😳😬

Keep in mind that podcasts and social media shows like to exaggerate stuff to gain ratings.
I am not saying nothing ever happens, just that the media likes to cherry-pick the most extreme stuff.

Then you get the impression that the most extreme is the "norm".

Plus I imagine most gang activity is more focused around rival gangs rather than trying to jump some everyday citizen with no connections.
