It’s on right now. It came out when I was 5. It terrified me when I first saw it, I don’t remember how old I was.My parents wouldn’t allow us to watch as little kids, it was the babysitters that “let” us.
Same time: Rosemary’s Baby, Are You Afraid of The Dark?, Alien, It’s Alive, Texas Chainsaw Massacre...sh** it was hard being a kid when I was...I think I was constantly scared. I know I didn’t like the dark, I still kind of don’t. I think it’s why I’ll always live in a city or town.
I want to someday write a story like this, adapt it to the “big” screen - just to scare the beejeezus out of a whole other generation. But considering what’s come out since this movie, this task will be monumental.
