I think they're using other countries like testing grounds. Try it there, see how bad it goes, and use that to determine if they should do it in America, which is a bigger percentage of their overall clientele. But yeah, I think the majority of Americans will either switch to a different service or just go back to pirating things like they did before Netflix came along. We're willing to pay for the ease and quality of having all of our movies and shows in one place, but if we don't all have access to it, pirating is just the more appealing offer. And in a terrible economy like this, we can't afford to have 3+ Netflix accounts, 3+ HBO Max accounts, 3+ Disneyplus accounts, etc...

My sister and I are still sharing an account, despite living in different states. No “crackdown” yet. A terrible business decision on their part and they seem to be realizing it.
