I saw both movies. The original and re make. Both pretty good but nothing like the book,

The movies especially the original I would say 8 1/2. Second about 8.
There are things in the book which are disturbing and were not included in either movie.
I would recommend you read the book if you have not.

@Carlisle Aww. I had a kitty some years ago named Smokie. She was my baby girl, my furry pampered queen. She lived to the ripe age of 21. She was in a lot of pain towards the end and I had to take her to the vet. Cried my eyes out. She was haunting the house for a while. I still miss her.
