I Don't Like Musicals

Not usually but one important exception.

Generally the songwriters have to come up,with something (anything!) to clumsily match up,with the screenplay.
"Mamma Mia" was different. Screenwriters creatively managed to build a story around existing songs .

The only one I really like is “My Fair Lady,” and that's because I like the George Bernard Shaw play it’s based on.

I was on a Musical kick both in London and NYC and NE US. 🤩
Phantom of the Opera, How to Succeed in Biz. w/out Really Trying, CATS, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored DreamCoat, to name a few. Kindda on a Webber kick there for a bit! :)

I heavily dislike them, too. Les Mis is amazing, though, and I can respect the craft of choreography.
