LOL when we first got a computer in 1996, we had it in my parents small room probably coz of proximity issues. Then mum moved it into the kitchen !
When it was in my parents small room and my friends came over they would lie /sit on her bed and she would complain! What did you expect mum??? oh of course they should sit on the floor (eye-roll)
Then when she moved the computer into the kitchen I liked it better, my feet would be rested at the heater vent in winter and it felt cozy, mum would smoke in the kitchen with visitors and chat away like I wasn't even there!
Occasionally people would ask what it was that I was playing coz the sounds were violent sounds, I said it was Doom.
