The proof of a successful approach is in its results

Not in feelings and personalization.

That's how I deal with my cynicism and existential depression , related to work. I treat it like a child giving a senseless tantrum to get my attention, when they should be doing their homework. A child that was hurt, yes. But needs to address their weaknesses so it doesn't happen again.

Feelings don't have to be that important in the grand scheme of things. Feelings for people, humanity in general or even towards myself.

That's good advice.

@SatanBurger I would only call this advice, if I had the certainty it would work for someone else.

I do think, though, that too many people personalize suffering that shouldn't be personalized, only uplifted through results.
You mean like saying, depression will lie to you and say everything is unrewarding, when really it may be?

@SinlessOnslaught That is included, yes
@Miram And what else, Mimi? Please tell me.
