Well, I just finished Sunrise on the Reaping...

People weren't kidding when they said the last few chapters were heartbreaking. 😬 But the layers in this book and those it adds to the other ones in the series are truly remarkable.

I have money I have to add to my card and then I can order it on kindle. I can’t wait to read it and I might get them all and start again.

Thought this was an excellent read. I hope the movie will do it justice.
@NoxAeterna I hope so too. The casting so far looks good, and announcing them two by two just like the tributes is a good start to do it justice.

It is so so sad....no wonder he drank himself to oblivion.

I think it is my favourite of the series
@BabyLonia it's definitely food for thought and the one that gave me the most reasons to read the whole series again to look for hidden patterns. I'm particularly interested in the meaning behind candy, snow (the weather, not the president), bread, flowers and the color orange. Those all seem to be mentioned more often than would fit into the story casually, so there may be foreshadowing or a metaphor in that.

@NerdyPotato and also what happens to the covey.....they are not even alluded to in the original trilogy
@BabyLonia indeed, and yet their songs are... Perhaps they went into hiding when it became clear Snow has it out for all of them after his experience with Lucy Gray, or he succeeded in "getting rid" of all of them.

I was not expecting the ending.
@itsok the epilogue was very surprising indeed, and I didn't expect the methods for what was already known either.

I have to get on top of this. I have to read the one before it first.
@JaggedLittlePill it's a good read with modern real-life politics in mind for sure.
