Omg, omg, omg! New Hunger Games book coming in March 2025!

The first 4 were already such good commentary on current events and it sounds like the 5th one is going to be even better.

“With ‘Sunrise on the Reaping,’ I was inspired by David Hume’s idea of implicit submission and, in his words, ‘the easiness with which the many are governed by the few,’” Collins said in a statement. “The story also lent itself to a deeper dive into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ seems more pressing to me every day.”

I'm really hoping it will be written from Tigris' viewpoint. Her connection with President Snow and her job as a stylist would make her perfect for the theme of control and propaganda, and she's a really cool character. 🤞

@NerdyPotato it's going to be Haymitch's story

Have always said that would be a good one
@BabyLonia it could be, although we know quite a bit about that already and the games themselves are probably not going to be a major part, just like in the Ballad of Song Birds and Snakes. I guess Haymitch could draw some interesting conclusions about propaganda from the way his prep team trains him, but I think we could learn a lot more from someone involved in the organization of the games.

On the other hand, in the first book we learned a lot about how the arena is operated from the perspective of Katniss too, so everything is possible. I'm sure it's going to be interesting regardless of the setting and main character though.
