Here's a spooky treat, there was a host of "Don't ...." movies at this period of time and I have a few in my collection, well maybe just one Vinegar Syndrome's release of Don't Answer the Phone, these movies are not art by a long shot, but are nevertheless in my opinion a neat time capsule of the grungy early days of this kind of horror movie, independent filmmaking with not great swaths of talent so much as being a part of the hallowed slasher movie phenomenon. Other movies like early Wes Craven where shocking subject matter was pursued, and such cutting edge works like I Spit on Your Grave which I have yet to see. So in that sense, this is a part of cinema history, marvel at the time period and forgive the script and acting.
