Rosemary's Baby (1968) & Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) are my favorite. I love older movies, they're so moody because of the quality of the film, the lighting, the editing, choices of music etc.. and they were a lot more creative and not so focused on traumatizing it's audience.
As far as newer movies I can only think of The Human Centipede 1 & 2.. #1 is just classic, it's so freaking crazy that it's almost funny. And how #2 is about a guy who was obsessed with the first Human Centipede movie and just watches over & over everyday and then tries to recreate it is honestly kind of genius. And how it's entirely in black & white makes it even more disturbing.
What are your favorites?
